Microsoft has launched a European Security Program to enhance cybersecurity through AI-driven threat intelligence sharing, announced at a recent conference in Singapore. The initiative aims to help European governments counter AI-enhanced cyberattacks, which are growing in sophistication. This move responds to the 2025 AI Security Report, which warns of criminals using AI for deepfake scams and automated fraud, particularly targeting crypto platforms.
The program leverages Microsoft’s cloud and AI capabilities to provide real-time threat detection and response, fostering collaboration between governments and private sectors. As AI-powered attacks increase, with 60% of scam-related crypto wallets now using AI (up from 20% in 2024), such initiatives are vital. However, experts emphasize the need for standardized protocols to ensure cross-border effectiveness.
